A man who died Thursday a motorcycle crash in Overton has been identified by the Nevada Highway Patrol.
Jody Cordell, 39, of Las Vegas, was on North Shore Road, north of mile marker 31, about 1 p.m. when he ran off the road and into the desert, officials said.
Cordell was ejected from the motorcycle and died at the scene, officials said.
Investigators said they believe speed was a factor in the crash.
