Metro Police is asking for the public's help in identifying four men involved in a string of six convenience store robberies in a 48-hour span, one of which left a 7-Eleven cashier in critical condition.

The suspects, believed to be ages 15 to 20, should be considered armed and dangerous, Metro Lt. Dan McGrath said Monday during an afternoon media briefing.

The robberies started Saturday morning, McGrath said, and continued through Monday morning. During the second robbery, on Saturday night, one of the suspects opened fire on a 7-Eleven cashier, striking him in the head, before stealing cigarettes and $26. The cashier remained in critical condition Monday afternoon at Sunrise Hospital.

Three of the four suspects have robbed the stores while the fourth is driving a getaway car, a four-door gray or tan colored sedan, police said.

All four of the suspects have been involved in each of the six robberies.

McGrath advised convenience store owners to be on the lookout for the four suspects, to cooperate if they enter and to keep "as little money in the drawers as possible."

"Your life is not worth $200 in the drawer," McGrath said. "Just give them the money and be a good witness for us."

In addition to the 7-Eleven robbery, the men targeted Speedee Mart, Terrible Herbst, Rebel and Circle K stores that spanned from the west valley, near Summerlin, to the northeast valley, just south of Nellis Air Force Base, McGrath said. The lieutenant said the stores were looted “without much direction."

Metro is asking anyone with information on the crimes to contact its robbery section at 702-828-3855 or, to remain anonymous, Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555.
