A man was reported missing Saturday on a hiking trip at Grand Canyon National Park in Arizona, according to park officials.
Floyd Roberts III, 52, of Treasure Island, Fla., was reported missing by a member of his hiking group, according to the Grand Canyon Regional Communications Center. He was hiking in the extreme western part of the national park, officials said.
Roberts is about 5 feet 11 inches tall and 170 pounds with gray hair. He was wearing a red, long-sleeved shirt, blue jeans, Nike shoes and a blue backpack, officials said. Roberts and his hiking group were on the first day of a multi-day backpacking trip, officials said.
The National Park Service is searching for Roberts.
