Firefighters respond to calls at 2 Strip resorts

Firefighters responded to alarms at two Strip resorts this morning, one a small kitchen fire at a Treasure Island restaurant and the other a report of smoke at the Paris, according to the Clark County Fire Department.

Nobody was injured in either incident, which were reported within about 15 minutes of each other and sent fire trucks racing down the Strip.

Firefighters responded about 10:25 a.m. to SeƱor Frogs at Treasure Island, where a small fire was reported over a kitchen fryer, officials said. The blaze was already out by the time crews arrived.

The fire did not spread, but the restaurant was evacuated. Fire crews were working with resort maintenance personnel to clear the smoke, officials said.

About 10:40 a.m., firefighters were dispatched to the Paris resort, were light smoke was coming from a spa, setting off a smoke detector, officials said. Crews found the smoke but no fire, officials said.

The cause of the smoke was under investigation.
