A woman was critically injured and two other people suffered serious injuries in a head-on crash on Blue Diamond Road near Red Rock Canyon Road, according to the Nevada Highway Patrol.
Troopers responded about 9 p.m. Wednesday to the crash, near where state routes 159 and 160 meet. The driver of a green Chevrolet Impala veered onto oncoming traffic for unknown reasons, crashing into a Honda Civic, NHP said.
The Impala's driver, who had to be freed from the car, was taken to University Medical Center in critical condition. The driver and passenger of the Civic were hospitalized with serious injuries.
Alcohol and speeding were not thought to be factors in the crash.
