A Mesquite man was killed and a passenger injured Monday afternoon when a sport utility vehicle ran off the road and rolled over northeast of Moapa, according to Metro Police.
Randall Widmann, 46, was driving north on New Gold Butte Road, about six miles south of State Route 170, at 1:45 p.m. when he failed to make a sharp right turn and ran off the road, police said.
Widmann was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. The passenger, LJ Widmann, 36, of New Jersey was taken to Mesa View Hospital in Mesquite, where she was treated for minor injuries and released, according to police.
