BELTSVILLE, Md. — Authorities say one person has been killed and another wounded in a shooting at a high school in suburban Washington.

The Prince George's County Fire and EMS Department says the shooting took place Thursday afternoon at High Point High School in Beltsville, Maryland.

The county police department said on its Twitter account that an adult was fatally shot and the incident appears to be domestic related.

Public schools spokeswoman Sherrie Johnson says no students or staff were injured. She didn't know what, if any, activities were going on at the school at the time of the shooting.

Fire department spokesman Mark Brady says the wounded person suffered injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening. He provided the information in a recording on his voicemail.
