A Las Vegas mother is in custody and her daughter has been hospitalized after a domestic-related shooting early today in the east valley.
Paula Kachmarik, 32, is charged with attempted murder and assault with a deadly weapon after shooting her daughter, Metro Police spokesman Larry Hadfield said.
Metro responded about 1:30 a.m. to the 3000 block of El Chico Court near East Hacienda Avenue and McLeod Drive, where they found a woman suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, police said.
Kachmarik’s daughter was taken to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center with nonlife-threatening injuries, police said. Her name was not immediately released.
