Two motorcyclists were killed in separate wrecks Wednesday in the central valley, according to Metro Police.

A 65-year-old Las Vegas man was riding north on Swenson Street about 8 p.m. when he collided with a car just north of Flamingo Road, police said. The man, identified by the Clark County Coroner's Office as Jose Fernandez, was taken to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

The driver of the car, a 57-year-old Las Vegas woman, remained at the scene and cooperated with police, according to Metro.

The crash happened less than five miles from an earlier wreck near Sahara Avenue and Valley View Boulevard that killed a 22-year-old Henderson woman, according to police. The Coroner's Office identified her as Jazmyn Ennis.

She was riding east on Sahara Avenue about 12:45 p.m. when she collided with an SUV, police said. She was taken to University Medical Center, where she died.
