Homicide investigation underway in east valley after body found

Police are investigating an apparent homicide after finding a body this afternoon in east Las Vegas.

Metro officers and medical responders located an unresponsive man about 2:20 p.m. in the 3700 block of East Bonanza Road, near Pecos Road, according to police.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene, and his death was deemed suspicious by police.

Further details about the incident weren't immediately available.

Homicide detectives arrived at the scene to investigate.
