Six senior citizens were being assisted after a blaze damaged their North Las Vegas living quarters Saturday, according to the city Fire Department. No one was hurt.
Also according to the Fire Department:
Fire crews were dispatched about 6:30 p.m. to the 500 block of Lance Avenue near Commerce Street, north of Carey Avenue.
The fire was sparked in a backyard shed and extended to a house. The estimated cost of damage had not been determined Saturday night.
The occupants were being helped by the Southern Nevada chapter of the American Red Cross.
