Las Vegas’ monthly First Friday event downtown will take place on the second Friday this month.
Strong winds are in the forecast for Friday, raising concerns for outdoor happenings, such as a concert and Wellness Village tents, according to the First Friday Foundation.
“The most important thing is that we keep people safe, but we definitely didn’t want to cancel the event. Thankfully all our artists, vendors, sponsors, and community members were very supportive of the idea of moving the event back a week,” Joey Vanas, the foundation’s executive director, said in a statement.
The National Weather Service is predicting winds of 20 mph, with gusts of up to 30 mph on Friday.
