Large fire engulfs warehouse in east valley

Firefighters battled a large blaze at an east valley warehouse for an hour before finally putting it out early this morning, according to the Clark County Fire Department.

The fire was reported about 4:30 a.m. at 2075 Palm Street, near Fremont Street and Sahara Avenue, officials said.

The fire, which fully engulfed the warehouse, was put out by 5:30 a.m. with no reported injuries, but crews were still cooling hot spots, officials said. The cause of the fire was under investigation.

Firefighters also put out an apartment fire on Boulder Highway near Desert Inn Road about 7:30 a.m. today, officials said.

The fire was contained to a hallway and didn’t extend into any individual apartments, officials said. Nobody was injured, officials said.
