Driver arrested on suspicion of impairment after hitting pedestrian

A pedestrian was critically injured and a driver was arrested on suspicion of being impaired in a central valley crash this morning, according to Metro Police.

Officers and medical crews were dispatched about 4:30 a.m. to the intersection of Bonanza Road and Las Vegas Boulevard North, police said.

The pedestrian, a 40-year-old Las Vegas woman, was on a marked crosswalk on Bonanza when a turning 2013 Ram pickup struck her, police said.

The pedestrian was taken to University Medical Center in critical condition, police said. Felicia Webb, 24, was arrested on suspicion of being impaired. She was being booked at the Clark County Detention Center on a count of DUI.

No one else was injured and the crash remains under investigation, police said.
