Smoke from a brush fire near Sam Boyd Stadium could be seen across the valley this morning, but the blaze posed little risk to developed areas, according to the Clark County Fire Department.
No injuries were reported.
Firefighters responded about 3:40 a.m. today to the fire in an undeveloped area in the 7000 block of Wetlands Park Lane, officials said.
The 10 to 12 acre fire was burning in an area surrounded by natural breaks, so there was minimal threat of it spreading to occupied structures, officials said.
There was no immediate word on how the fire started.
The Bureau of Land Management was assisting with the incident.
