A toddler who was pulled from a northwest valley pool was hospitalized in critical condition Friday evening, according to Metro Police.
The 2-year-old has been stabilized at Summerlin Hospital, Lt. Brian Cole said about 7:45 p.m
Officers and medics were dispatched at 5:08 p.m. to a house in the 9900 block of El Capitan Way, near Durango Drive, Cole said. The child was first rushed to Centennial Hospital but later transferred.
Other adults and children were present at the house but didn't see the child enter the pool, where the child was found floating. They don't know how long the toddler was in the water, Cole said.
Metro abuse and neglect detectives are investigating as is custom when a child is injured.
