A 31-year-old inmate at the Clark County Detention Center died Wednesday following an apparent medical episode, according to Metro Police.
Medics were summoned to the man’s location, which was not disclosed, about 11 p.m. Wednesday, police said. Despite their life-saving attempts, he died at the scene, police said.
The inmate, whose name was not released, had been transferred to the downtown Las Vegas jail from the Henderson Detention Center on Tuesday, police said. He was booked on counts of battery domestic violence and coercion, police said.
The Clark County Coroner's Office will determine the cause and manner of death, police said.
