Comic Vanessa Hollingshead performs for a packed house at Brad Garrett’s Comedy Club in Las Vegas Tuesday, April 30, 2013.

Two of the most intimate showrooms on the Las Vegas Strip are returning to action.

Brad Garrett’s Comedy Club at MGM Grand is set to reopen Saturday with two shows nightly at 7 and 10 p.m. Tickets are on sale now at mgmresorts.com/mgmgrand or by calling 800-929-1111.

The club restarted live performances on November 6 in a different space at MGM Grand but shut down again last month when COVID restrictions limited audiences to just 50 people. Stand-up comedians will return to the stage at the actual club this week, located at the MGM Underground promenade, with ticket prices starting at $68.95.

MGM Resorts’ website states “world-class entertainment is expected to return to the stage January 16, 2021,” a sign the company anticipates restrictions could loosen at that time to allow larger audience capacities.

At the Flamingo, “X Burlesque” is set to begin a special VIP experience on January 7, with performances scheduled at 7 and 10 p.m. Thursday through Saturday nights at the X Burlesque Theatre at Bugsy’s Cabaret.

Only 30 tickets are available for each performance and sales begin December 29 at 10 a.m. at caesars.com or by phone at 702-777-2782. Two tickets are priced at $199 including taxes and fees, one bottle of Champagne, one signed poster and a Q&A session with the cast after each show.

“X Burlesque” has performed more than 9,000 shows since it first opened almost 20 years ago, the first of three successful female revues running on the Strip produced and created by Matt and Angela Stabile. Their “X Country” show at Harrah’s became the first Strip casino production to reopen after the March shutdown on October 22.
