The U.S. Air Force Air Demonstration Squadron “Thunderbirds” fly by the Mandalay Bay hotel-casino as they show their support for frontline COVID-19 healthcare workers and first responders in Las Vegas Saturday, April 11, 2020.

MGM Resorts International will resume operations at the Luxor and the Shoppes at Mandalay Bay Place at 10 a.m. June 25 as part of its gradual reopening of Las Vegas properties from the coronavirus shutdown.

On July 1, the company will reopen the Aria at 10 a.m. and Mandalay Bay and the Four Seasons Las Vegas an hour later.

“It was exciting and emotional to see the energy in Las Vegas last week as we welcomed back our employees and reopened our doors to guests for the first time in months,” Bill Hornbuckle, MGM Resorts’ acting CEO and president, said in a statement.

“Our guests are having a great time and are thrilled to be back in the city they love," Hornbuckle said. "We are eager to get more of our employees back to work and enhance the Las Vegas experience with additional resorts.”

MGM started its reopening June 4 by bringing back the Bellagio, MGM Grand, New York-New York and Signature. The Excalibur returns Thursday.

All properties are operating at half capacity and following social distancing measures approved by the state Gaming Control Board.
