Free services such as flu shots, paper shredding, and safe medication disposal will be available to anyone during a drive-thru event hosted by Clark County Commissioner Michael Naft in the southwest valley later this month.
The “Curbside Care” event, scheduled for 10 a.m. Sept. 12, will be held at the Windmill Library, 7060 W. Windmill Lane, "while supplies last," the county announced Wednesday with a news release.
Other services will include recycling for electronics and “personal care giveaways,” officials said.
The social-distance-type giveaway comes at a time when Clark County, like the rest of the world, is battling the COVID-19 pandemic. Nevada is reporting nearly 70,000 infections, and at least 1,336 deaths, with Clark County taking the brunt of the impact, according to state figures.
“My hope is to make people’s lives just a little bit easier by bringing these important services to their community,” Naft said in the news release. “I look forward to visiting with neighbors while they remain in the comfort of their vehicle.”
