A Henderson man was arrested today in the death of his 5-year-old son, according to Henderson Police.
Gerald Oglesby, 33, was booked at the Henderson Detention Center on a count of open murder, police said.
Police and fire units were dispatched about 1:30 a.m. to a home in the 700 block of Center Street, where a child was reportedly unconscious and not breathing, police said.
Medics pronounced the boy dead after attempts to resuscitate him failed, police said.
Oglesby was booked shortly before 7 a.m., according to jail records.
The investigation remains ongoing, and no other information was released.
Oglesby was being held without bond.
