The Rancho High football team will play in the postseason.
The Rams beat Western 42-0 tonight for their third straight win — all games they had to win to qualify for the playoffs.
“Our kids are resilient,” coach Leon Evans said. “We had a tough five game stretch, but they hung in there and hung in there. When we got into division play, things finally worked out.”
Toby Sayphone carried the ball 19 times for 213 yards and two touchdowns, and also scored on a receiving touchdown.
Rancho (5-5) plays at Boulder City on Thursday to open the playoffs. “No doubt, that’s a tough place to play,” Evans said.
De’shawn Johnston also rushed for two touchdowns for Rancho.
