Westgate Las Vegas is ready to sparkle and shine with this week’s arrival of Imaginarium, a pop-up 3D light festival hoping to attract families visiting the city and locals as well.

Created by the International Culture Exchange Group, a company that has launched dozens of family-friendly attractions including the country’s first touring Chinese Lantern Festival that visited Rio Las Vegas in 2018, Imaginarium has previously been installed at Cal Expo in Sacramento and hosted more than one million guests. It will take over Westgate’s massive north parking lot starting on April 28 at 7 p.m. and running through May 29. Tickets are available at imaginarium360.com/las-vegas/.

Las Vegas has seen its share of new immersive attractions in recent years, but Imaginarium takes an all-ages approach, said marketing director Patricia Turner.

“We are definitely a family-friendly, immersive 3D light festival, and we have roughly 20 different attractions within Imaginarium, ranging from mystical storybook creatures to a rose garden and other sections as you walk through this experience,” she said. “There are illuminated forests, endless mazes, and we also have a unique digital treasure hunt we’re going to implement.

“It definitely has those Instagrammable moments, and there’s something for everyone.”

That treasure hunt allows guests to chase a collection of special objects across eight check points, and the Rose Garden houses more than 35,000 flowers made completely out of lights; marriage proposals are standard there. Other components include the Purple Patch, a magical forest lined with glowing purple and pink trees; the glittering Crystal Chandelier; and the outer space-themed Shoot for the Stars and Moon.

The company has been focused on winter-time attractions since it was founded in 2011, and with Imaginarium as its first spring-summer event, more expansion and growth is expected — with possibly more attractions coming to Las Vegas.

“We were looking for a partnership in Las Vegas where we could grow and expand beyond spring and summer, and Westgate was the perfect partner,” Turner said. “They have really stepped up to the plate when it comes to getting the word out and introducing us to the market.”

Tickets for locals with Nevada ID start at $19 for seniors and children ages 3-12 and $25 for guests 13 and above, and children 2 and under are free. Refreshments will be available for purchase.
