Shania Twain is set to return to Bakkt Theater for a new Vegas residency.

Shania Twain, Live Nation and Caesars Entertainment are teaming up again for “Come On Over,” the country megastar’s third Las Vegas residency run, kicking off on May 10 at Bakkt Theater at Planet Hollywood. Twain’s previous “Let’s Go!” concert spectacular was at the same venue, from December 2019 through September 2022, and her first Vegas show, “Still the One,” ran from 2012 through 2014 at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace. The new production is subtitled “All The Hits” and the singer promises exactly that, “with a few fan favorites from the new album in there too. I am in a celebratory mood and there is nowhere better to party than Vegas,” she said in a statement. Tickets for “Come On Over” go on sale August 21 at ticketmaster.com/shaniavegas.

In other country residency news, Luke Bryan has announced his final dates at Resorts World Theatre and they are December 29-31 and January 3, 5 and 6. Bryan was already on the books for shows on August 30 and September 2, 3, 6, 8 and 9. Tickets for the final six performances go on sale Friday, August 18 at axs.com/lukeinvegas.

Here are some more Vegas entertainment event announcements from the last week: trumpeter and singer Brian Newman returns to his late-night show at the NoMad Library at Park MGM on August 31 and continuing with dates through October 5; Corey Taylor of Slipknot plays Brooklyn Bowl on September 29; Babyface will take the stage at the Pearl Concert Theater at the Palms on October 13; Daryl Hall and the Daryl’s House Band with guest Todd Rundgren will play the Venetian Theatre on November 8; rising rock band Dirty Honey will play the Sand Dollar Downtown on November 19; ukulele virtuoso Jake Shimabukuro will bring his holiday show “Christmas in Hawaii” to the Grand Events Center at Green Valley Ranch Resort on November 24; Kylie Minogue’s first Vegas residency at Voltaire at Venetian has added 10 new dates from December 15 through May 4; Madonna has rescheduled her previously announced and postponed Las Vegas concert dates and will now visit T-Mobile Arena on March 1 and 2; and Luis Miguel returns to the Strip for a concert tour stop at T-Mobile Arena on April 19.

Tape Face is making a big move from Harrah’s to MGM Grand. The witty, charming, and one-of-a-kind show created by New Zealand native Sam Wills will open a new version at the 250-seat Underground Theater at MGM Grand, a former comedy club space, on September 1 at 7:30 p.m. The ongoing schedule is set for Thursdays through Tuesdays at 7:30 p.m., with 4:30 p.m. matinee shows on select weekends. The show launched at Harrah’s in 2018 and gained steam after Tape Face appearances on “America’s Got Talent.” Incorporating elements of performance art and prop comedy, it’s hard to compare to any other Vegas show and should be a formidable complement to the MGM Grand entertainment lineup. “I am thrilled for the move into one of the best hotels and casinos in the world, MGM Grand,” Wills said in a statement. “The show relies on audience participation and having this beautiful showroom will guarantee an even more exciting and intimate experience for guests.” Find more info at mgmgrand.com.

After a successful debut in July, “Spice Wannabe” is set to return to the Thunderland Showroom at Excalibur on September 12, with performances scheduled Sunday through Thursday at 7 p.m. and Saturday at 5 p.m. Tickets are on sale now for the high-energy Spice Girls tribute show at Excalibur.com and spicewannabe.com.

Battlebots: Destruct-a-Thon” recently celebrated its 100th show at the BattleBots Arena just behind Horseshoe Las Vegas on Koval Lane, and the live robot combat experience has added a 6 p.m. Tuesday show to its schedule. Open since February and inspired by the TV series of the same name, the show takes place at 6 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday, and at 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. For info, visit battlebots.com/tickets.
