New England Patriots running back Rhamondre Stevenson (38) carries the ball on the final play against the Las Vegas Raiders during the second half of an NFL football game at Allegiant Stadium Sunday, Dec. 17, 2022.

The initial 53-man NFL rosters feature a handful of Las Vegas products, including three players with local ties on the Cleveland Browns.

Dorian Thompson-Robinson, a Bishop Gorman graduate, went from being a fifth-round selection in April’s NFL Draft to winning the Browns’ backup quarterback job. The rookie excelled in the preseason, where he led all of the league’s quarterbacks in passing yards.

He’ll be joined on the Browns by high school teammate Cedric Tillman, a rookie wide receiver from Tennessee, and Desert Pines graduate Tony Fields II. The linebacker Fields, a third-year pro, had 48 tackles last season.

There are also multiple locals on the Patriots with defensive lineman Lawrence Guy (Western) and Centennial product Rhamondre Stevenson. Guy is entering his 12th season, and Stevenson is projected to be one of the NFL’s top running backs.

Pittsburgh and Baltimore also have two players with Las Vegas ties on the roster.

The Ravens’ offensive line includes Gorman product Ronnie Stanley and Liberty graduate Sala Aumavae-Laulu, a rookie.

Foothill graduate Miles Killebrew is a Steelers captain who is noted for his play on special teams. Darnell Washington, a rookie tight end and Desert Pines graduate, is also with the Steelers.

Gorman will also be represented on Sundays with offensive lineman Nick Gates (Commanders), tight end Brevin Jordan (Texans) and wide receiver Jalen Nailor (Vikings).

Chaparral graduate Will Hernandez is an offensive lineman with the Cardinals, while Palo Verde’s Daniel Bellinger is a second-year tight end with the Giants.

Faith Lutheran graduate Dalton Kincaid, a first round pick in April, will debut with the Bills. And rookie safety Jordan Howden of Desert Pines made the New Orleans Saints roster.
