A man was killed in a single-vehicle crash Tuesday night in Sunrise Manor, according to a Metro Police news release.
The crash occurred at the intersection of East Charleston Boulevard and Sloan Lane at about 10:30 p.m., according to the release.
The 24-year-old driver of a 2005 Saturn Vue was traveling north on Sloan Lane when the vehicle entered the intersection at a high rate of speed and failed to turn at the T-intersection. It left the roadway north, striking several fixed objects and overturned in the parking lot of 5780 E. Charleston Blvd., the release stated.
The driver sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene by medical personnel, the release stated.
