Person suffers smoke inhalation in apartment fire

A person suffered smoke inhalation during an apartment fire this morning, according to the Clark County Fire Department.

The fire was reported about 8:55 a.m. in the 2400 block of Old Forge Lane, in the area of Eastern and Sahara avenues, police said.

The fire started in a closet and spread to an upstairs unit above, officials said.

An occupant in the upstairs unit was taken to a hospital with smoke inhalation, officials said. No information was released about his condition.

A damage estimate was not released.
