A driver was killed in a crash this morning on the west side of Las Vegas, according to a Metro Police news release.
The collision occurred at about 10:23 a.m. at the intersection of South Durango Drive and Soneto Lane.
As a 1998 Nissan Pathfinder attempted a left turn from a stop sign on Soneto to Durango, a 2011 Hyundai Genesis was traveling south on Durango. The front of the Hyundai collided with the driver’s side of the Nisan, causing it to overturn, the release stated.
Medical personnel determined the driver of the Nissan was beyond medical help and had succumbed to his injuries, the release stated.
The others, including a passenger in the Nissan and three occupants of the Hyundai were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
