One person was declared dead and another taken to a hospital after a two-vehicle crash today in the west valley, according to Metro Police.
The crash was reported about 10:20 a.m. in the area of Durango Drive and Soneto Lane, south of Charleston Boulevard, police said.
One person was taken to University Medical Center, police said. Their condition was not released.
Impairment was not suspected in the crash, and the investigation was ongoing, police said.
Police advised people to avoid the area.
