Dreamscape, the company that acquired Rio Las Vegas in December 2019 and will soon take over operations of the off-Strip resort from Caesars Entertainment, has announced an extension of the Rio’s flagship entertainment offering, the landmark magic and comedy production from Penn & Teller. The duo has been performing at the Rio for more than 22 years and the extension keeps them on property through the end of 2026. “Penn & Teller are icons in entertainment, and their show continues to be a must see for Las Vegas visitors,” Dreamscape president of entertainment and gaming Trevor Scherrer said in a statement. “We are honored to have them as part of the Rio as we reimagine this iconic resort.” Next month, Penn & Teller will start filming the 10th season of their TV series “Penn & Teller: Fool Us” in the Penn & Teller Theater at the Rio.

Speaking of staying on property: “Exxcite: The Show,” the sizzling new burlesque revue from producer and choreographer Jennifer Romas (who starred in and produced “Sexxy” at the Westgate Cabaret for years), will take the stage at the Duomo Theater at the Rio on July 29 and continue an extended engagement there. The schedule calls for performances on Saturday, Sunday and Monday at 10 p.m. and tickets are available at theduomolive.com.

RuPaul’s Drag Race Live” marked its blockbuster 500th performance at the Flamingo Showroom on July 8, celebrating with a special appearance by RuPaul, showcase performances by new cast members Lawrence Chaney and Nicky Doll, and the always glamorous presence of veterans Coco Montrese, Daya Betty, Derrick Barry and Kennedy Davenport. Directed by RuPaul and award-winning choreographer and filmmaker Jamal Sims, the stage show is produced by World of Wonder, the creative team also behind the TV version of “RuPaul’s Drag Race,” and features a rotating cast of queens from the small-screen production. It’s performed Thursday through Monday at 9:30 p.m. with an additional 7 p.m. show on Friday, tickets start at $49, and they’re available at ticketmaster.com/dragracevegas.

When Kevin Hart returned to Resorts World for another Hartbeat Weekend celebrating his birthday, there was something special going on beyond his live comedy performances at Resorts World Theatre and a series of parties and shows at the resort’s day- and nightclubs. Hart teamed up with fellow funnyman Mike Epps to bring back the BET series “ComicView” with TV tapings at the theater, featuring stand-up performances by Tommy Davidson, Tacarra Williams, Tony T. Roberts, D.C. Young Fly and more — including the televised comedy debut of rapper Tip “T.I.” Harris, who had his own concert at the M Resort last week. Epps served as the host for the tapings and the performances are scheduled to air on BET soon. The original “ComicView” series debuted in 1992 and is recognized as one of the most influential stand-up programs of the era.

Marc Rebillet, the genre-defying musician sometimes referred to as “Loop Daddy,” will launch the first-ever residency at Brooklyn Bowl Las Vegas with concerts on October 14 and 28, and December 16 and 28. The classically trained pianist weaves improvisational musical loops, catchy melodies and funk with a comedian’s sensibilities during his shows, and tickets to these Strip shows go on sale July 14 at brooklynbowl.com.
