Motorcyclist killed in crash near Las Vegas Strip last week

A biker was killed in a crash last week in the vicinity of the Las Vegas Strip, according to a Nevada State Police news release.

The collision occurred at about 3:14 p.m. Nov. 5 around Highland Drive and the Spring Mountain Road westbound ramp, the release stated.

As the motorcycle was traveling west on Highland Drive, while negotiating a curve, it struck a concrete traffic barrier, ejecting the rider who then struck the rear of a vehicle stopped at a red light on Spring Mountain Road, according to police.

The rider, 22-year-old Cooper Huff, of Oceanside, Calif., was transported to a hospital, where he died of his injuries.
