A male was found dead, and one person was detained after a report of a shooting in the west valley, according to Metro Police.
The shooting was reported about 1:35 p.m. in the 7200 block of Arroyo Crossing Parkway, near Rainbow Boulevard and the 215 Beltway, police said.
Officers found a male suffering from an apparent gunshot wound, police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
One person was detained, police said, but no additional details were released.
Homicide detectives responded to take over the investigation, police said.
