A person was found dead in a Las Vegas alley Monday with a gunshot wound, according to Metro Police.
Emergency dispatchers received a report about 5:20 a.m. Monday of an injured male lying in an alley in the 200 block of West Monroe Avenue, police said.
Officers located the person suffering from an apparent gunshot wound, police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
Homicide detectives took over the investigation, police said. No additional details were released.
The Clark County Coroner’s Office will release the victim’s name, police said.
