Metro Police shot and killed a male armed with a knife this morning in an east Las Vegas neighborhood, officials said this morning.
Officers arrived about 2:55 a.m. to the 3900 block of Landsdown Place to reports of a male armed with a knife, officials said. The neighborhood is near Sandhill Road between Flamingo and Desert Inn roads.
The man refused to drop the knife and approached officers, police said. That’s when officers shot the man, who was pronounced dead at the scene by medical officials, police said.
This is the seventh officer involved shooting of the year in Metro’s jurisdiction, they said.
