Las Vegas police ID officers involved in fatal weekend shooting

Metro Police have released the names of three officers involved in the fatal weekend shooting of a man who was reportedly armed with a knife and refused to drop it.

All three officers have been placed on routine paid administrative leave pending the outcome of a review of the incident, police said.

Officers responded about 2:55 a.m. Saturday to the 3900 block of Landsdown Place to reports of a man armed with a knife, police said. The neighborhood is near Sandhill Road, between Flamingo and Desert Inn roads, police said.

The man man refused to drop the knife and approached officers, police said. Officers shot the man, who was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Metro today identified the officers involved in the shooting as Philippe Dinh, 29, Oscar Nuno-Reynoso, 22, and Kyle Corso, 34.

Dihn and Corso have been with Metro since 2021. Nuno-Reynoso has been with the agency since 2022.
