The 2023 season is going so well for the UNLV football team, they’re even winning on their bye week.

The Las Vegas Raiders announced Monday that the organization plans to donate $1 million to UNLV football, one of the most sizable gifts in the history of the program.

The Raiders and UNLV will hold a joint press conference on Tuesday at the Fertitta Football Complex. UNLV head coach Barry Odom, athletic director Erick Harper and university president Keith Whitfield are slated to attend, as are Raiders owner Mark Davis and team president Sandra Douglass Morgan.

At his weekly Monday press conference, Odom thanked the Raiders for their support.

“What a great opportunity for our university and our athletic department to have a collaboration with somebody as historic and successful of an organization as the Raiders,” Odom said. “Very thankful to be in the same city, very thankful for the partnership that we have with them.”

UNLV is 3-0 this season at Allegiant Stadium, where the Scarlet and Gray are a tenant of the Raiders. The Scarlet and Gray are 4-1 overall in Odom’s first year as head coach and currently riding a three-game winning streak with Saturday's 44-20 home victory over Hawaii.
