Jack Thow rushed and passed for a touchdown today for the Green Valley football team in a 26-13 victory against visiting Sierra Vista in the regular season finale.
The teams will play again next week in the first round of the Class 5A, Division II playoffs.
“Same venue, same time. Different day,” Green Valley coach Clay Mauro said of the postseason game at 7 p.m. Oct. 26. All games are played Thursday next week because of Nevada Day.
“It’s hard to beat a team twice, but we will be prepared,” Mauro said.
Gavin Blondeaux had an 80-yard fumble return for a touchdown, and Ben Byington returned a punt for a score.
