Metro Police say they are investigating a shooting this afternoon in the southwest valley that sent one person to University Medical Center.
The shooting was reported at 1:35 p.m. in the 7100 block of South Bronco Street, near Jones Boulevard and Warm Springs Road, police said.
Officers located one victim, police said. No information was released about the person’s condition.
Metro advised people to avoid the area due to the heavy police presence.
No additional information was immediately released.
