2nd suspect identified in 2021 homicide in Las Vegas

A suspect has been identified and charged in a 2021 homicide in the east side of Las Vegas, according to a Metro Police news release.

Officers initially responded to a residence in the 3300 block of Denali Preserve Street to investigate a shooting Nov. 2, 2021 and found a man suffering from a gunshot wound in the backyard, the release stated.

Detectives had initially identified Clayton Perkins, 25, as the suspect.

Today, Metro announced Gilbert Vaneyck has been identified as a second suspect in the case. He was already in custody at Clark County Detention Center on unrelated charges. He was rebooked on charges of conspiracy to commit murder and conspiracy to commit robbery.
