Man hit by vehicle north of downtown Las Vegas in May dies

A pedestrian who was hit by a vehicle earlier this year just north of Downtown Las Vegas died this month, according to a Metro Police news release.

The 53-year-old man died Sept. 18, according to the Coroner’s Office.

On May 2, the 53-year-old man was hit by a 2018 Ford Mustang while crossing North Las Vegas Boulevard outside a crosswalk south of East Washington Avenue, police stated. He was then taken to UMC Trauma by responding medical personnel in critical condition at the time.

Due to the time frame, the man’s death will not be counted as a traffic-related fatality.

The collision remains under investigation.
