Las Vegas' T-Mobile Arena will play host to future Big Ten basketball tournaments — women's in 2027 and men's in 2028 — the conference announced.

The Big Ten Conference announced future sites of its conference basketball tournaments Wednesday, which for the first time will include Las Vegas — the site of the Pac-12 men’s and women’s basketball tournaments in recent years.

The Big Ten women’s basketball tournament will be held in Indianapolis the next two seasons before heading to Las Vegas in 2027 and Detroit in 2028. The men’s tournament, meanwhile, will be in Indianapolis in 2025 and 2027, Chicago in 2026, and make its first foray into Las Vegas in 2028. Both tournaments in Las Vegas will be played at T-Mobile Arena.

With the addition of the four West Coast schools — Oregon, Washington, USC and UCLA — a move to Las Vegas provides a closer geographic meeting point and popular vacation destination for fans. Whether the Big Ten intends to hold its conference tournaments more frequently in Sin City in the years to come is unclear, and the Big Ten football championship game will remain at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis through at least 2028.
