A woman was found fatally shot today at a car rental business on Sahara Avenue and Decatur Boulevard in central Las Vegas, according to Metro Police.

Law enforcement responded to the report of a shooting around 12:30 p.m. at the rear alley of the business to find the woman, who was unresponsive and pronounced dead at the scene.

Police also found a male victim with multiple shot wounds. The man, described by police as being in his 30s, is in critical condition at University Medical Center, police said.

The victims were inside the business and left outside together to pick up their rental car, Metro Lt. Jason Johansson said.

A white pickup truck drove into the rear alley of the business, police said.

The shooting suspect exited the truck and got into a verbal altercation with the male victim. The suspect shot the male and then the woman multiple times, police said.

The shooting was not random, said Johansson — the victims apparently knew each other.

Video from nearby businesses recorded the suspect fleeing westbound on Sahara Avenue in the white pickup truck, Metro said.
