Members of the Downtown Las Vegas Soccer Club warm up during practice at Cragin Park Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2024.

The city of Las Vegas’ Cragin Park is closing starting Wednesday for a $10.8 million renovation that will include two new soccer fields and a baseball field, officials said.

The project will take about a year to complete, the city said.

The park, located at 984 Hinson Street, will get two new synthetic turf soccer fields and a baseball field with new lighting and amphitheater seating.

Upgrades will also include more natural grass space, playground structures, picnic areas and a walking path, officials said.

For safety reasons, the park will be fenced during construction, officials said. There will also be utility work and lane restrictions on Hinson Street, officials said.

The park, next to Hyde Park Middle School, is expected to reopen by the end of summer 2025, officials said.
