Woman dies from injuries sustained in Las Vegas vehicle collision last week

A woman injured in a crash last week has died from her injuries, Metro Police announced today in a news release.
The 66-year-old Las Vegas driver of a Chevrolet Trax involved in a collision died Saturday at Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center where she was being treated for her injuries.
The crash occurred July 28 at about 7:37 p.m. at the intersection of South Nellis Boulevard and Winterwood Boulevard, the release stated.
As the Chevrolet was attempting to turn west from Nellis to Winterwood, it was struck by a Honda Accord coming from the opposite direction. Both vehicles ran off the road, striking a block wall on the intersection’s corner.
The driver of the Accord and a passenger both suffered injuries and were also taken to Sunrise Hospital for treatment.
