Section of I-215 W closed after fatal collision involving motorcycle in Las Vegas

Nevada State Highway Patrol is working at the site of a fatal crash this afternoon on I-215 westbound with all lanes between Aliante Parkway and Decatur Boulevard to be closed for several hours, according to a news release.

Troopers responded to reports of the crash at about 3:52 p.m. involving a pickup and a motorcycle. One person is dead after the collision, the release stated.

The driver of the pickup stayed at the scene and is cooperating with authorities, police stated.

Motorists are advised to avoid the area.
