Las Vegas police: Person found dead with gunshot in vacant apartment

A male was found dead with an apparent gunshot wound Thursday inside a vacant apartment, according to Metro Police.

Police said they received a report about 6:45 p.m. of a male shot in the 300 block of South Nellis Boulevard. Officers found a wounded male, who was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

No additional details were released, and police said the investigation was ongoing.

The Clark County Coroner’s Office will release the victim’s name, police said.
