Metro officer charged with felony child abuse in North Las Vegas

A Metro Police officer has been charged with child abuse and arrested, according to a news release.

Brandon Pierce was booked into North Las Vegas Community Correctional Center on a felony charge Thursday, the release stated. No further details were provided on allegations against him.

Pierce has been employed with the department since 2023, assigned to the Detention Services Division, South Tower Bureau.

Pierce will be placed on suspension of police powers with pay pending further investigation.
