Police: Suspect arrested in Nebraska in deadly Las Vegas shooting

A suspect has been arrested in Nebraska in connection with a fatal shooting earlier this month in Las Vegas, according to Metro Police.

Detectives identified Samario Williams, 34, as a suspect in the case, police said. He was arrested Thursday by Nebraska State Police in Omaha, Metro said.

Williams was taken to a jail and was awaiting extradition to Las Vegas on a count of open murder, Metro said.

The shooting was reported about 2:10 a.m. on Aug. 11 at North Sandhill Road and Tully Avenue, Metro said.

Officers found a man suffering from apparent gunshot wounds, Metro said. Medics pronounced him dead at the scene, Metro said.

The victim was approached by two people and an argument ensued, Metro said. One of the individuals produced a firearm and shot the victim, Metro said.
