Yankees star Jazz Chisholm Jr. formed a special bond with one lucky player at The MLB Little League Classic in Williamsport, Pa. on Sunday.

Sidelined with a UCL injury, Chisholm was unable to compete in the Yankees’ 3-2 loss to the Detroit Tigers in 10 innings, but had a great time interacting with the Little League World Series teams in attendance.

Chisholm even took Nevada’s Russell McGee under his wing.

“I kind of adopted a little brother out here already,” Chisholm said via Foul Territory.

“We talked all day. We hung out on the bus. He was telling me his journey and all the stuff that he’s been doing. I followed him on Instagram and now he’s my little brother.”

Chisolm purchased some equipment, including sliding mitts and shin guards for his new little brother, and said that “whatever he needs, I got him now.”

When the Yankees infielder introduced himself, he found out he is McGee’s favorite player.

Chisholm said that McGee, “a bright-eyed kid,” reminded him of himself when he was younger.

“Me and my guy Russ, man. We gonna be rocking and I am going to make sure he gets to the big leagues one day,” he said. “I am definitely behind him for his full journey.”

The Yankees acquired Chisholm from the Marlins before the trade deadline. He was an All-Star second baseman for Miami before moving to center field two years ago.
