A woman was killed after being hit by a vehicle, according to a Metro Police news release.
The collision occurred shortly after 7 p.m. Wednesday on East Tropicana Avenue, east of Calle Del Mar.
As a Chevrolet Silverado 1500 was traveling west on Tropicana, it struck an 82-year-old woman who was crossing the street outside of the crosswalk, according to the release.
The woman was declared dead at the scene.
The Silverado’s driver remained at the scene and showed no signs of impairment, the release stated.
